Before the rapper’s concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey, he shared a new shot of Royalty wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses to Instagram on Sunday, writing:

The sweet pic of Royalty came only hours before violence broke out at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert last night. So at least he has one happy memory about that day!
Of course, the Ayo singer still performed — and we’re sure his lil’ one was rooting him on!
