Chris Brown thinks he’s been forgiven for being a big man and beating up Rihanna.
He was sentenced to five years probation and just a little bit of community service (six months).
Here’s what he said:
“A handful of people stuck by me. But when [most] people see certain things happen to somebody, they usually turn away. They don’t want to get involved with it because they don’t want their name attached to anything negative.”
Yeah, that seems pretty rational to us.
So what makes him think he’s forgiven?
“They wanna get on the record. They wanna let me back in the door. The last two years, everybody dissed me, but my fans were so dedicated.”
Why do you think they were dissing you? Maybe because you physically assaulted a woman?
He continued:
“The way I look at it is, you can’t walk around mad, because then you just prove everybody right that you’re an angry person.”
Are we the only ones that think this sounds arrogant? He did an awful, awful thing and we haven’t really seen much of anything from him to let us know he’s changed or redefined himself. (Except for a handful of publicity apologies)
And it DEFINITELY doesn’t help to hear him go around talking about thinking he’s forgiven. Even if she had forgiven him, an upstanding guy wouldn’t go around talking about it and calling out people who didn’t want to align themselves with a woman-abuser.
