Chris Brown Fights Ex Nia Guzman's New Child Support Request, Argues More Money Would Spoil Daughter Royalty...

Chris Brown

Chris Brown doesn’t want to pay any more than he has to in child support!
In fact, he’s got quite an, uh, interesting argument winding its way through court right now as to why he shouldn’t have to pay any more: because he doesn’t want to further spoil his four-year-old daughter, Royalty!

According to The Blast, ex Nia Guzman is hard at work in court asking for more money; she argues in new documents from a newly-hired attorney that she should receive $21,000 per month in child support, as well as $250,000 in a lump sum in retroactive child support.
Brown, understandably, has scoffed at that, instead arguing that the amount far exceeds Royalty’s needs as a four-year-old, and that “providing a four-year-old with everything she demands could be harmful and is not in her best interest.”
Interesting argument! We’ll see if it works…
In addition to all that, Brown says he has Royalty with him twelve days out of every month — not six, like Guzman argued in court docs — meaning he doesn’t believe she needs to receive as much child support money from him if she’s not taking care of Royalty as many days per week.

In all, according to The Blast via court documents, Breezy says he’s willing to pay up $9,813 a month in support — just not the $21,000 per month that Guzman has been hoping to see.
The case is ongoing… we’ll update you when we know more.
