Gleeks, brace yourselves. Tomorrow is a big episode for all the shippers. Lots of things are going to be happening. Lots of revelations, lots of surprises … lots of S-E-X!!!
Someone who knows all to well the mayhem that is coming our way tomorrow night is Chris Colfer, one half of the ship known as Klaine. We know you’re all dying to know what happens with the pair, especially now that there is a new, hottie bad boy after Blaine, so we thought we might share Chris’ insight from the episode.
WARNING: SPOILERY STUFF AHEAD! DON’T BOTHER READING ANYMORE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!
When Chris was asked to elaborate on filming the pivitoal “doing it” scene with Darren Criss, surprisingly he confessed that it wasn’t as awkward as he thought it would be. He explained:
Prior to getting the script Ryan approached Darren and I and told us that they were doing a virginity episode, and Darren and I just kind of looked at each other with wide eyes like, ├óΓé¼┼ôHuh? What?├óΓé¼Γäó And while we always have faith in the writers, we were a little skeptical. But then we got the script and shot it and everything was fine. What I thought could be raunchy and over-the-top was just very sweet and emotional. That├óΓé¼Γäós kind of how it is with Glee. Ryan will come up and tell me they├óΓé¼Γäóre [tackling] this big, sensitive issue and I├óΓé¼Γäóll freak out. But then I have no reason to freak out because it├óΓé¼Γäós always handled really well … People always make a big deal about a kissing scene or a love scene, but it really isn├óΓé¼Γäót. You have to realize it├óΓé¼Γäós you, another actor and a room full of 40 crew members.”
Chris also revealed that fans that are hoping to see a lot skin from the pair are going to be sadly disappointed as ultimately, Chris ended up in a t-shirt in the scene. The consensus, according to Chris, was that “having two gay guys having sex on television was enough,” and that the team didn’t want to push their luck. But for fans of Kurt and Blaine, this will still be the moment they have been waiting for, even if it is intertwined with the arrival of a new baby boy Sebastian. However, Chris doesn’t seem to mind, stating:
“Oh my God. I was so excited. When I found out that there was a character coming in to try and take Blaine away from Kurt my first thought was, ├óΓé¼┼ôWhy does nobody ever love Kurt? Why does nobody love me. Why does nobody ever pursue Kurt?├óΓé¼┬¥ My second thought was that I was so excited that there was something coming up between Kurt and Blaine besides the puppy-dog love scenes they├óΓé¼Γäóve been in since Season 2. I was so excited there was some kind of drama. I got to play Kurt in a territorial light, which I was excited about. I like Sebastian. I like his presence.”
As do we! VERY. MUCH!!!
And then, there is probably the biggest reveal of all. Before anything serious happens to Kurt in the bedroom, he’s faced with a ghost from his past while hitting up his first gay bar: Karofsky! In a scene that Chris calls “absolutely [his] favorite,” Kurt finds himself befriending his former tormentor in the most inneresting of ways. Chris explains:
“First, I was excited because I never actually shot a scene at a bar before. And there are just so many cool things you can do as an actor: you can grab your drink, you can play with a cherry, you can lean on the bar, you can lean on a stool. I loved that. And also it was great to see that character again and see what happened to [him]. The honesty behind [Karofsky] is kind of heartbreaking. That├óΓé¼Γäós his life now. That grungy bar is the place where he found acceptance.”
Sounds like it is going to be a powerful episode, especially for Kurt! We were looking forward to this before…
NOW WE CAN’T WAIT!
