Chris Matthews Not Running For Office

Residents of Pennsylvania have just received news that will anger some but make others very happy.

After several months of speculation, MSNBC Hardball host, Chris Matthews, has decided not to run for the U.S. Senate.

According to reports, Matthews told his producers in a meeting on Wednesday that he isn’t seeking the Democratic nomination for the seat in Pennsylvania. That seat is currently held by moderate Republican Arlen Specter and is up for re-election later in 2010.

Instead, Matthews is now said to be spending time going over his contract renewal offer from MSNBC.

And, according to an interview last month, MSNBC president Phil Griffin said that he expected Chris to stay at network “for a long time.”

Though, as of yesterday, Matthews, Griffin, and other execs declined to comment on the situation.

So, do U want Matthews to stay as the host of Hardball or u don’t really care?
