Chrissy Teigen is having herself quite the self-isolation period this year!
The Cravings: Hungry For More cookbook author finds herself in the headlines once again Thursday, just days after her ugly interaction with fellow food writer Alison Roman. But thankfully this time it’s for better (cuter) reasons — like the family’s new bearded dragon!

John Legend‘s hilarious wife announced her family’s new adventure via Twitter on Wednesday morning, tipping followers off to the presence of the new reptile purchased for son Miles! And as you can see with Chrissy’s tweet about the family’s addition (below), she’s already planning on the animal’s very FULL and fulfilling life:
yes I am now a proud bearded dragon owner! he is very little right now – I got him for Miles' birthday but I know we will share a lifetime of happiness and cuddles (well his lifetime) (maybe mine at this stress rate)

LOLz!!! Here’s to a new adventure at home, we suppose. Gotta do something to pass the time during quarantine, especially when you’ve got a couple of small children to consider!
Hours after the first announcement about the pet, Chrissy later revealed two photos showing off the as-yet-unnamed bearded dragon, including this pic of Luna with the tiny reptile (below):

Very cute! It’s not, like, a dog or anything so we’re not sure if the cuddles will be quite the same, but at least it seems like the dragon is fitting in with the family just fine. So far, so good?
A few hours after that, late last night, Chrissy further shared more from the bearded dragon’s new headquarters! Here you can see Miles living it up with the cold-blooded creature, too:

See?! Everybody’s bonding so well! Seems like fun, doesn’t it?!
Miles turns 2 on Saturday, BTW, so we’ll stay tuned for this weekend when we’ll perhaps learn the tiny guy’s name. FUN!!!

It was just earlier this week the momma of two had been asking her social media followers about bearded dragon advice, so it’s clear this has been in the works for a little while. Ironically enough, fellow bearded dragon aficionado Nicole Richie went on Late Night With Seth Meyers to show off her pet dragon Speedy a few days ago, too!
After host Seth Meyers mischaracterized the pet as an iguana, Richie corrected him, saying (below):
“I have seven chickens and then I have—he’s not an iguana, he is a bearded dragon. His name is Speedy. I’ll forgive you. He was very excited that I was going on your show because your show is his favorite and so, he wanted to make an appearance. He’s pretty fast. Bearded dragons are really chill, actually. They’re really great with kids. They just like to be held. They like to sit in the heat. They like it, like, 110 degrees. And they just, like, lay in the heat and chill. And I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s what I like to do.'”
Awww! That’s cute!
And now Chrissy and the fam will get to have their own experience with a bearded dragon, too! Seems like it’s going to be an adventure… that’s for sure!
