Apparently, Christian Bale isn’t the hero that True Detective‘s psychosphere deserves.
We posted earlier about our personal suggestions for the recently announced three leads of Season 2.
After it was announced that there would be a threesome of lead characters, rumors were swirling about Christian being pursued for one of the roles.
However, now two reps have said that he’s not going to be in the upcoming season, and that the rumor is unsubstantiated.
Christian’s publicist had this to say:
“I know that it’s not true…[T]he end result is he’s not doing it.”
Meanwhile, Christian’s agent denied his involvement as well:
“Not true. He isn’t interested.”
Oh well. We’re certain that whoever joins the cast will give another groundbreaking performance. Just too bad Bale perhaps had to bail on this role.
We wish time were a flat circle so we could already know who was in the second season!
