Things are finally looking up for Christian Lacroix! The designer filed for bankruptcy in May and has since been seeking a financial backer to prevent his label from folding.
At first it seemed bleak, but things finally feel as though there was hope on the horizon for the well-respected fashion house.
Last week, Bernard Krief Consulting, an investment firm based out of Paris, made an offer but ultimately it was too little.

Now, however, it seems as though the label may have finally found its savior in the very final hours! The Borletti Group, an investment company in Italy, has put in an offer that’s considered to be a “serious bid.” The Borletti Group has stake in the European department stores, La Rinascente and Le Printemps.
Exciting!
It would be so sad to lose Lacroix!
