On Tuesday, we learned that Christie Brinkley and John Mellencamp have called it quits after dating for a year! Apparently, the model and the 64-year-old just couldn’t make things work.

A rep told People that the former flames were just too busy and too far apart to keep their relationship romantic, saying:
“Both the mileage between their homes and their heavy career demands interfered with their ability to maintain the relationship. They vowed to remain best of friends.”
To be fair, they have been kind of busy! The blonde beauty has been plugging her new line of Prosecco — called Bellissima — while the singer has been touring.
And even though we’re sad to see this cute couple bite the dust, we’re glad there’s no bad blood between these two!
But can every couple that’s called it quits in 2016 say the same?
