Christie Brinkley does love her epic Instagram rants!
On Thursday, Christie took to IG to clear the air over some rumors circulating about her breakup from John Mellencamp. The pair officially parted ways earlier this week.

According to Brinkley, she was miffed by a tabloid which suggested the two split over the singer’s”hell-bent political opinions and redneck ways”. The mag even suggested John was a Donald Trump supporter by “cherry picking” a few lyrics from his songs.
Needless to say, the accusations didn’t sit too well with the liberal model.
In the beauty’s message, she rails against the report while also vowing to stick by her “friend”. The post essentially sets the record straight on what’s REALLY going on.

Dayum, tell us how you really feel, girl! The tone of this message reminds us of Christie’s epic rant about the woman who allegedly peed on her Hampton’s beach property!
Either way, it’s nice to see the gorgeous gal sticking up for her former flame. We’re glad these two ended things amicably!
