In Touch Weekly is reporting that Christina Aguilera hasn’t made too many friends on the set of her new show, The Voice. According to well placed sources on the show and friends of the singer, “she’s taken ‘difficult’ to a new level” with ridiculous demands and over-the-top diva behavior.
One of the big issues everyone is reportedly having with Xtina is her insistence that what a girl wants, what a girl needs is that almost every scene be reshot to make her look better. Supposedly, Christina will insist on watching playbacks of every scene she’s in and if she thinks she looks “too fat,” she’ll make the crew start all over again and reshoot , even if it takes all night!
As you can imagine, her fellow coaches aren’t too thrilled with her diva behavior, especially Adam Levine. On the show, their sparring makes for good entertainment, very reminiscent of the early Simon/Paula days on Idol. However, behind the camera, tensions are at all-time high between them as Adam “doesn’t like her above-it-all attitude,” according to a source.
Because of this, the crew has really started to rally around “cool guy” Adam as much as possible, while Xtina is being considered “prissy” and the “crew can’t stand her.”
Uh-oh. Time to make a change, Xtina! Being a team player is really important on a show like this. You’re popular with audiences right now, but if the tides shift and Adam becomes more high-profiled, guess which one of you will get the boot in season two? Tread lightly, girl!
Update: We just spoke with The Voice host Carson Daly who says that this In Touch report is “100% not true”. In fact, he claims Christina is beyond nice and usually the first one on set!
