Christina Haack and Josh Hall are fighting online again, this time about their upcoming new show!
In case you missed it, HGTV dropped a new preview of the upcoming series The Flip Off last week, starring Josh, Christina, her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa. And we got a peek into marital troubles between the exes before they called it quits on their marriage in July! It’s messy, y’all! In the video, Josh berated Christina all because she didn’t have the same enthusiasm as him about the competition while driving to a new project. He said to her:
“You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me. Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.”

Jeez. When Christina continued to ignore him, he called her “rude” and went off on her more. Watch the entire tense teaser (below):
If this is how Josh spoke to her on camera, you can only imagine what happened off… Awful…
Fans, including Heather Rae, were appalled by how Josh treated Christina. But according to him, the whole drama was “manufactured.” What? He took to Instagram Stories on Monday to react to the sneak peek and slammed HGTV for the fabricated storyline. Alongside a screenshot of an article about the teaser, the 44-year-old former police officer wrote:
“TFW you can’t get enough ratings with celebrity designers so you manufactured drama with me, a nobody. @hgtv, you’ve changed.”
No one forced Josh to join a competition show and behave the way he did toward his own wife on camera. He did that all on his own with zero hesitation…
And Christina wants to make that very clear to everyone. What fans will see from Josh this season was not “manufactured” by the network. She fired back at him on her own account that same day, saying:
“Manufactured?! Pretty sure no one at Hgtv told you to be rude to me … That was all natural.”

Christina then posted a picture of herself, where she appeared upset with tears in her eyes after filming with her estranged husband. She captioned the emotional selfie:
“This was taken June 21, 2024. After one of my shoots with Josh. This is ‘real’ and a reminder to myself that I deserve better.”

Fortunately, we won’t have to see a lot of Josh on our screens during the first season. Since the show was already in production when he filed for divorce, Christina, Tarek, and Heather decided to move forward with the show without him. Phew! Hopefully, Christina had a more enjoyable time on set once he was out of the picture.
