Cindy Crawford On Daughter's Modeling Shoot: "I Wasn't A Stage Mom"

When Cindy Crawford is your mom, you know those are some pretty big shoes to fill in the modeling world.
ESPECIALLY, when your first modeling job is for Donatella Versace!
Luckily for Cindy’s 10-year-old daughter Kaia Jordan, Cindy promises that during Kaia’s photo shoot, she stepped back and let her do her own thing.
She says:

“Her PR person called me. I think Donatella thought it would be fun because I had worked with Versace so much in the 80s and 90s.
[Kaia’s] done little modeling things with me, but it was always with me, and this was just her. And I really wanted her to have that experience.
I could hear and see everything, but I wanted it to be about her — not me.
Donatella kept saying, ‘Come! Stand here by me and we├óΓé¼Γäóll watch it on the monitor.’ But I didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to be a stage mom and make her nervous.”

The one thing Momma Crawford wasn’t prepared for was the media attention she and Kaia got when the campaign was released.
Cindy explains:

“Kaia isn├óΓé¼Γäót modeling, per se ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ she doesn├óΓé¼Γäót have a portfolio or an agent. She did one picture and it ended up going everywhere! I didn├óΓé¼Γäót quite understand how much media play it would get. They were very smart to choose her.
At this point, she’s too young to pursue a career, but if she’s 17 and wants to try it … of course, what can I say?
She├óΓé¼Γäós really into singing and acting. She kind of jokingly said, ‘I might model first because you don├óΓé¼Γäót have to know how to do anything, but then I want to be a baby nurse.'”

Sounds like she already has a good head on her shoulders. Good parenting, Cindy!
