Congrats to Clay Aiken!
The former American Idol alum announced his campaign for North Carolina congressional seat back in February.
Fast forward to three months later and he’s won it!
Despite the tragic lost of his opponent, Keith Crisco, Clay got more than 40 percent needed to win in the race.
But don’t celebrate just yet! The official result will be announced by the state elections board after the meeting to review the results that is tentatively scheduled for May 22nd!
It was a close race, with Keith coming in second place. But his campaign manager, Christine Botta revealed that Keith had decided to concede his loss to the 35-year-old before he died.
