Oooooo! Colin Kaepernick’s in trouble!
The star QB from the San Francisco 49ers just got fined $10,000! The NFL fined him for wearing the wrong type of headphones!
Yup, they legit have the authority to fine their athletes if they wear the wrong brand.
The NFL and Bose just inked a big deal that basically gave Bose a complete monopoly over the NFL. Headphone wise at least.

The deal says that athletes can’t wear anything other than Bose brand headphones when in front of cameras before or after games. So when Colin wore a bright pink pair of Beats by Dre headphones, he was painting a target on his back.
But now the important question… who’s gonna pay that fine? Colin? Or the multibillion-dollar company that sponsors him? A sportscaster got to talk to Colin and tweeted:
I asked Colin Kaepernick if he or Beats by Dre will pay the $10K fine. “We’ll let that be unanswered,” he said. ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ Matt Maiocco (@MaioccoCSN) October 9, 2014
Ha! We bet that means Beats is totally gonna pay for it!
Did you know when Air Jordans first came out, Michael Jordan wasn’t supposed to wear them during games? Nike paid his $5,000 fine for every game he wore them. Which was every game.
We’re pretty sure Beats can afford $10,000 a game. Lucky, Colin gets to keep his cute, pink headphones! And what a great month for the color pink, too!
