After spearheading the movement to kneel for the National Anthem before NFL games — and taking a TON of heat for it from President Donald Trump and others — Colin Kaepernick has been out of a football job for about a year now…
And while NFL teams may not be to keen on signing him again, even despite being named GQ‘s Citizen of the Year in 2017 to a whole lot of controversy, it looks like Kaepernick may have himself a new gig… if he wants it!

According to reports, a “well-known” casting director posted a message on an online board specifically for managers and agents last week requesting that someone representing Kaepernick give her a call.
According to TMZ, that casting director is currently working on both a TV pilot and a movie (the movie purportedly includes other athletes already, like Kyrie Irving, Shaq, Reggie Miller, Chris Webber, and Lisa Leslie).
No word yet on exactly what that casting director may want to tab Kaepernick for, but regardless, it’d be his first acting gig.
As public a persona as he’s become, wading through Trump’s mindless bashing and a whole lot of controversy, Hollywood might be a natural angle for the quarterback…
We’ll see though, as only time will tell whether it all comes together.
