Even before he was on The Bachelorette, and now The Bachelor, Colton Underwood was your average pro footballer trying to get a date with a cute girl.
It was love at first tweet for Colton and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, who made their red carpet debut together in December 2016, and later split in June 2017 as friends. In a candid conversation with the LadyGang Podcast, Colton opened up about his first love and worst heartbreak before he found fame on ABC.

He shared with the podcast hosts that Aly was his “first love,” but things were definitely a learning process:
“While it was confusing and hard in the beginning, it also taught me a lot about myself: what I need, what I want, what I can do better in a relationship. It was a big step for me. It was really tough.”
While Colton didn’t confirm that his “first heartbreak” was with Aly (though the signs point that way), he shared that it “wasn’t on the show.” Previously, he shared that he “only dated to marry,” so we’re sure that the breakup with Aly was tough!
