Did another quarantine couple blossom right under our noses with newly single Colton Underwood and actress Lucy Hale?
It would appear so, as TMZ spotted the two looking quite cozy on a hike Wednesday afternoon at Paseo Miramar Trail, located in the scenic Pacific Palisades neighborhood of El Lay. Their sources say this outing isn’t a one-off and the two have been hanging out a lot lately!

We’ll preface this update to let you know these rumored lovebirds were not wearing masks or social distancing in the pics (HERE) of their outing, but we will agree they seem quite comfortable with each other! It’s also a bold choice considering Underwood recovered from the novel coronavirus only months ago. Either way, the outlet’s sources say Colton and Lucy have been going on “casual hike dates” for the last few weeks, so, you could say this seems promising, right?
The Pretty Little Liars star is also a proud fan of Bachelor Nation and their source added they have a bunch of mutual friends, so this should line up nicely! But then why’d she casually admit to being “more single than ever” in a recently published interview with Entertainment Tonight?
During her chat with the outlet, Hale mostly opened up about the devastating news of her show Katy Keene‘s cancellation after just one season before breaching the topic about her love life in quarantine. She said:
“I feel more single than ever, but it’s fine. If anything during this time it’s taught [me] — because I’ve done the whole thing basically alone and I used to hate being alone — I feel the only way I’m gonna date someone next is if they make my life better because I’m so happy right now having my own routine.”
Part of that routine is swiping left or right every now and again. She continued:
“I’m on a dating site now and I still never met up with any of them because I’m too nervous. Believe it or not, I’m really shy in that sense.”
Inneresting! Any guesses on which dating site, Perezcious readers? Ha!
She went on to add that she’s not interested in “settling” and her ideal partner must have a great sense of humor as well as “work ethic, drive, passion,” and a “good moral compass.” Not saying Colton may or may not possess all of these things — but her comments make it seem like he’s not the only guy in the race here!
Here’s something else to consider…
Insiders close to the former Bachelor told Us Weekly he’s also been keeping his options open after breaking up with Cassie Randolph in late May:
“He is moving on as much as he can, has been dating and is excited about this new chapter. There is no chance that Colton and Cassie will get back together.”
Ouch! Sounds very final, doesn’t it? No love lost between those two, we guess. As we reported, the exes have been taking shots at each other on social media for how they’ve chosen to handle the split, with Randolph accusing the 28-year-old of trying to “monetize” the situation.
Colton denied those claims and despite the obvious tension brewing between these two, the source said he still deeply cares for Cassie:
“He loves her … but not as a girlfriend. He has always wanted peace with Cassie and to be friends. Sadly, she changed that plan by owning the narrative for thee both of them. They haven’t talked since she blasted him publicly. It really made him question her trustworthiness.”
Well, so much for those meaningful breakup tattoos they got together!
