You’re going to still be on Team Coco after you hear how Conan O’Brien reacted to learning that he owed money on his family’s home in Rhode Island!
According to a recent report, Conan owed $8,000 on a house listed in his parents’ names located near Westerly Shore, and he only paid it off just before it went on auction! Yikes!
Here’s what Conan said in a recent statement:
“As soon as I was made aware that the tax bill on my parents’ house was being mailed to the wrong address, I paid the bill immediately. The problem has been corrected. I am grateful to the reporter at the Westerly Sun who spotted this error and notified me.”
Well, phew! Crisis averted! It was all just a mail error!
What’s that? The United States Postal service messed up? Unheard of!
According to another source, Conan received no notice of his bill:
“As soon as he was made aware, he paid the bill in full.”
Thankfully Conan paid the outstanding $8,000 on Friday, and the house was removed from auction! Close call!
