A 22 year old man in Ohio has confessed to illegally accessing Conde Nast‘s computer system last year, following a probe by the FBI.
The perp, Ross Ulrich, says he isn’t sure if he’ll charged for downloading the 1,100 images, but has already agreed to pay the publisher $12,500 from a copyright lawsuit.
As for why he did it?
Ross says it was so he could be first to post the image in online forums, but now he’s “over it”.
Yeah, federal investigations tend to do that.
