Connie Britton is starring in the new hit show Nashville, and the faux country star gave us a little insight into her personal life.
Britton talked about how she wants her adopted son to have a sense of where he came from, and to stay in touch with his roots.
Here’s what she said:
“There is a community of people who have adopted children from Ethiopia, and that├óΓé¼Γäós something I want to be a part of for sure. To me it├óΓé¼Γäós really important for my son to have a strong sense of that background.├óΓé¼┬¥
She also mentioned how long she’s wanted a child for, and how she finally decided when to pull the trigger on finally bringing a little one into her family.
Here’s what she said:
“I always knew I wanted a child, and I always assumed I’d be doing it with a man…Then my parents passed away within three years of each other. Right after that, a lightbulb went off in my head and I thought, ‘What am I waiting for?’ I wasn’t in a relationship at the time, but I thought, ‘This is something I want to do. I can do it.’”
Wow, we love how candid she is!
We wish more celebrities were like her, but at least we have Connie!
