An unusual, but not a cruel punishment!
Recently, a poacher was ordered by a Missouri judge to watch Bambi once a month during his one-year jail sentence!

According to CNN, David Berry Jr. was convicted for illegally killing deer by taking only their heads and antlers, and leaving the rest of their bodies to rot.
In addition to his jail stint, Lawrence County Judge Robert George ordered the offender to watch the classic 1942 Walt Disney movie, where Bambi’s mother is shot and killed by hunters.
Lawrence County Conservation Agent Andy Barnes commented:
“Berry Jr.’s convictions are the tip of a long list of illegal fish and game activity by him and other members of his family.”
The animal killer was arrested on August 31, 2016, along with David Berry Sr. and Kyle Berry.
