We guess now that Finn Hudson has graduated from McKinley High, it’s time for him to grow on up!
We just didn’t expect him to evolve so quickly into something so DARK!
Well, he may not be, but the actor behind the role, Cory Monteith, apparently will be for the upcoming action/drama McCanick!
That’s right, the Glee star will be joining David Morse and Brandon Routh for the project, directed by Josh C. Waller, which tells the story of a narcotics detective who has to mercilessly hunt down a young criminal (played by Cory) who has been released from prison and apparently knows something about his past!
The director says in a statement:
“David has worked very closely with Daniel and I on this project and we honestly couldn’t be any happier,” added Waller. “This film is full of intense, emotional characters and I’m excited to see actors like Cory Monteith and Brandon Routh gravitating towards these roles that are, perhaps, very different than what they are known for.”
YEAH! No SHIZ!
This sounds dark, gritty, and frankly, BAD-ASS!
And we ADORE the idea of Cory branching out and being given the opportunity to play against type!
This could be a really inneresting direction for his career to take!
