We didn’t think he would have time for this, what with the grueling schedule of filming Glee, touring with Glee, recording new songs for Glee and what not. We assumed he’d already sold his soul to Ryan Murphy ages ago!
We kid, we kid. We’re sure everyone is encouraged to pursue other projects outside of the show!
Cory Monteith revealed on his Twitter this week that he’s just joined up with a new band called Bonnie Dune. We’re not sure if his bandmates are a bunch of friends of his or if this was something he was a part of pre-Glee or this is some PR thing, but he announced that he was the drummer for the band and that their first show will be January 6th in El Lay.
According to their MySpace page (which by the way, who has one of those anymore?), they’re an “Alternative / Indie / Rock” group. We took a listen to the music – decent, though Cory doesn’t sing.
Something to be aware of if you plan on going to the show.
