We can’t believe Cosmopolitan for Latinas is bestowing such an honor on yours truly, but they have announced that we are their Fun Fearless Man of the Year!

├óΓé¼┼ôEvery year, Cosmopolitan for Latinas chooses one man who’s inspired us and changed the national conversation, especially about what it means to be Latino. I admire Mario (yes, I will only call him by the name his Mam├â┬í gave him) because he has really stepped up and admitted that while he once may have been less than sensitive in his coverage of gay and lesbian celebs, now he’s a vocal anti-bullying advocate and LGBT rights supporter. He has a major platform, and he’s been using it to promote Latino achievement and fight for equality for the LGBT community around the world. We noticed his radical change in tone├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and the difference it’s been making for young people around the country.├óΓé¼┬¥

And we can’t wait for early June when the magazine will be holding a ceremony/fiesta celebrating all of their honorees named to their Fun Fearless Latinas list!
