An Air New Zealand ad portraying older females AKA cougars going after “their prey” is causing an uproar in the country with many citing the spot as offensive.
New Zealand’s Rape Prevention Education director Kim McGregor called the ad “disgusting and degrading” and she says she spoke with employees of Air New Zealand who feel the same. She explains:
“They find it degrading and that it is encouraging potentially harmful behavior, so my question is why is our national carrier promoting sexually predatory behavior? We have also had complaints from male survivors who have been raped by women and they are very distressed that their situation is being laughed at and made out to be humorous.”
We don’t find it funny or offensive really — just STOOPID!
