What a bust!
Courtney Love was due to perform with her band Hole at London’s Proud Galleries after not performing for 11 years, but a massive riot broke out on Park Lane causing many of London’s busiest streets to close down because of the chaos!
Hundreds of people broke into an empty mansion and even ended up on the roof! Ambulances and firefighters were called because there was worry the roof could actually collapse! The police explains:
“A large number – in excess of 2,000 persons – were holding some form of ‘event’ or ‘gathering’. People were seen climbing on to the roof and police were concerned that the roof and structure of the building was unsafe.”
“Police attended but were unable to access the building after some of the people inside and on the roof threw missiles, bricks and bottles at them.”
Yikes!
Park Lane and Oxford Street were closed leaving Courtney Love unable to leave her hotel and get to the Galleries! The party is suspected to have been organized via Facebook and police are still investigating the incident.
Luckily for Hole fans they will be performing the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on February 17.
