Craig Ferguson Announces He's Leaving The Late Late Show & CBS After Ten Triumphant Years!!!

He just pulled a David Letterman!
After a decade of delightful late night comedy, Craig Ferguson just announced that he and CBS will be parting ways this December.
The Late Late Show host broke the super sad news to his stunned studio audience on Monday during the taping of that evening’s show.
In classic Craig fashion, the comedian joked:

“CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are ‘consciously uncoupling,’ but we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much.”

Ugh! This is a tough blow to everyone with a funny-bone!
Nina Tassler, CBS’ Entertainment Chairperson offered these kind words:

├óΓé¼┼ôDuring his 10 years as host, Craig has elevated CBS to new creative and competitive heights at 12:30… He infused the broadcast with tremendous energy, unique comedy, insightful interviews and some of the most heartfelt monologues seen on television.├óΓé¼┬¥

Yes, yes, that’s all well and good, but…
WHO IS GOING TO REPLACE HIM? Who will fill his super funny void?
A person of color, maybe? Someone with a vagina, perhaps? A cartoon cat? Maybe it’ll be Chelsea Handler?
Either way, the HIGHlarious Emmy-nominated host supposedly has a few other TV gigs in the pipe — including one about science! — and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Good luck out there, Craigster!
