Colorado Town Is The New Site For Bud Light’s ‘Up For Whatever’ Campaign, But They’re NOT Happy About It Because It Was Kept A Secret!

Woah! Talk about a big secret!
Crested Butte, Colorado (lol, Butte) is about to be the biggest party town in America when it becomes the site of Bud Light‘s Up For Whatever campaign.
The beer giant plans to literally paint the town blue, bring in street performers, as well as over 1,000 people who are up for whatever! Did we mention there will be a giant Twister game too?!?
Well, even though the ad campaign started during the Super Bowl, the festivities, which will take place Sept. 5-7 were kept a secret from the townspeople and they’re pissed!
They held a meeting on Monday where everyone learned why there have been strange people planning things in their city for months. It was also revealed that Anheuser-Busch paid the town $250,000 to hold the event there, and some people felt they were shortchanged by that number.
Though, at the meeting it turned out that overall 90 percent of the town’s residents were down to host to party, since Crested Butte is no stranger to fun events. Some people were even dressed up in costume at the meeting!
Despite the fact that celebs and small bands will be there, potentially bringing in lots of money for local businesses, people are still miffed that they weren’t made aware of it… and they could cause the event to be cancelled!
But both Anheuser-Busch and the company planning it, Mosaic, are working very hard to make sure that the residents of Crested Butte and that the Whateverers have a great time.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens!
