Now, we’re not sure if this is one the two proposed projects on which we reported back in March, because it sounds like it could be both a spin-off or some sort of reboot, but one thing is for certain:
Chucky will be terrorizing theaters once again VERY SOON!
That’s right, casting is currently underway for a fifth sequel currently titled Curse of Chucky, and the franchise creator Don Mancini, is on board to write, direct, and produce the project, set to begin shooting in Winnipeg in September!
And he’s not the only returning member of the game! Brad Dourif is once again voicing the the killer doll!
This time around, the story will be much more similar to the original trilogy, and will be focused around a dysfunctional family gathered for a funeral when the bloodbath begins! Expect a young girl in a wheelchair to be Chucky’s new owner, her nanny, who is having a lesbian affair with her sister, and a priest all thrown into the mix!
Well, all we can say is: INNERESTING!
But then again, the last two movies with Jennifer Tilly were even MORE bizarre, so what else were we expecting?!
Ha!
