We were won over as soon as we heard that Vampire Diaries/90210 hottie Stephen Amell was cast in this show…but we suppose we’d like to hear more!
During a recent interview, CW’s development head Thom Sherman opened up about the upcoming Green Arrow pilot, and he had the following to say about it:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós a very provocative and sophisticated and edgy. It├óΓé¼Γäós not as comic book-y as Smallville or other [superhero projects] from other networks.”
And more from Sherman about the show’s main character/hero:
“He doesn├óΓé¼Γäót have any superpowers, he’s a very grounded character like a Jason Bourne ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ we use the term ‘Rambo.'”
“His skill-set is that he├óΓé¼Γäós an archer, but he also have physical strength and prowess. He’s clever and able to devise ways of taking down a bad guy that are unique and fun to watch.”
This sounds fantastic! Assuming they do the pilot right, we hope this show goes to series!
