She’s really sticking to some similar subject matter these days, isn’t she?
Cynthia Nixon is currently appearing as a recurring guest-star on Laura Linney‘s Showtime series, The Big C, but she’ll be the one battling cancer in the upcoming Broadway premiere of Margaret Edson‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Wit, in January of 2012!
Focusing on a poetry professor with cancer, the play is described as “exquisitely written, affecting and often humorous, Wit follows a brilliant and exacting poetry professor (Nixon) as she undergoes experimental treatment for cancer. A scholar who devoted her life to academia, she must now face the irony and injustice of becoming the subject of research.”
Wow.
We don’t even need to speculate – we just KNOW she is going to be absolutely brilliant in this role!
So great to see her moving past her Sex & The City character and really challenging herself with different characters!
We can’t wait to see this!
Break a leg, gurl!
