D-I-V-A Alert On The Set Of Robin Hood!

Trouble is brewing on the set of the new Russell Crowe flick in London!

Director Ridley Scott and Australian actor Crowe have been butting heads since production began on Universal’s Robin Hood remake, and it doesn’t seem that either will be putting their differences aside anytime soon.

“The producers had to fly to London because Russell and Ridley won’t talk to each other,” a spy relayed to reporters. “Every time they stop filming, it costs the production millions of dollars.”

What divas!

The trouble started even before filming began, with Russell demanding Ridley be booted off the flick because their last collaboration, Body of Lies, was such a disaster! He also was reportedly bitching about his story line, saying the script needed to be rewritten so he could have more screen time!

The chairman of Universal, Marc Shmuger, doesn’t think there’s a problem at all, of course.

“Ridley and Russell asked us to visit . . . to see more than an hour of footage they’ve already shot, which was nothing short of spectacular . . . We couldn’t be more excited by what we saw,” Shmuger told the press.

He continued: “Russell and Ridley are working on their fifth film together and have one of the strongest and most collaborative working relationships. When it’s news that a studio chairman and a film’s producer [Brian Grazer] visit a production, it must be a very slow gossip day.”

Nice try at a spin, bud!
