D4vd has officially been charged with the murder of Celeste Rivas.
On Monday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office revealed the 21-year-old singer has been charged with first degree murder with special circumstances, as well as lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, and mutilating a body, in the case of murdered 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. Per reports, the death penalty is on the table should he be convicted of her murder.

LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman claimed Celeste, who first went missing two years ago, was last seen at D4vd’s LA home in April of last year. He further claimed the Romantic Homicide singer was lying in wait for her arrival on April 25, 2025. Five months later in September of 2025, Celeste’s mutilated remains were found hacked up in the trunk of his Tesla.
Hochman revealed that the special circumstances in D4vd’s first-degree murder charge relate to financial gain, as the murdered teen was allegedly a witness to something that could have derailed the singer’s career. LAPD Police Chief Jim McDonnell noted there is evidence D4vd, 21, had a sexual relationship with the minor, so that could possibly be the reason.
