Duff Watson is what you would call a frequent flyer.
He├óΓé¼Γäós in the sky so much that he├óΓé¼Γäós earned the honor of becoming an ‘A-List passenger├óΓé¼Γäó whenever he flies with Southwest Airlines.
But this week, while flying home to Minneapolis with his two kids, Watson felt like a total Z-lister!
One of the perks of being an A-lister is priority boarding. Duff didn’t think it would be a problem if he got on the plane with the rest of his fellow VIPs along with his children. But a gate agent wouldn’t allow him to get on the plane early because he had his 6-year-old and 9-year-old with him!
They may be cute but they’re NOT A-listers in Southwest’s eyes!
Watson was pissssssed! He admitted to telling off the agent, saying:
“In leaving I said, you know, ├óΓé¼╦£Real nice way to treat an A-list. I├óΓé¼Γäóll be sure to tweet about it.├óΓé¼┬¥
And tweet he did!
This angered dad admits to writing on Twitter that Kimberly S. at gate C39 was the rudest agent in Denver, and then sent it to @SWA – Southwest├óΓé¼Γäós handle.
When the Watson family finally got onboard, they were just taking their seats when all three were asked to leave the plane!
Back in the airport, Watson says this meanie Kimberly S. told him she felt threatened by his tweet and demanded he delete it! She even warned him that she would call the cops on him!
With his two kiddos crying, Watson deleted what he had written. And even though they were then allowed back on the plane, Watson says he will NEVER fly Southwest ever again!
Southwest sent the Watsons an apology via email along with three $50 vouchers. Watson says it’s not enough and he plans to donate their goodwill gesture to charity!
He said later:
“I’m not going to fly them again. I wish I didn’t back down, I wish I didn’t delete the tweet. But under that quid pro quo situation, I did it.├óΓé¼┬¥
What do you think, Perezcious readers? Did Dad screw up by sending out that tweet? Or should Southwest seriously consider disciplining this Kimberly S. character for overstepping her authority and not letting an A-lister board with his family??
