Beloved TV actor Larry Hagman, from I Dream of Jeanie and Dallas, is dealing with the difficult task of caring for his wife, who has slowly been losing her memories to Alzheimer’s disease.
Reports are saying that Larry’s wife of 54 years, Maj Axelsson, “is slipping away a little more each day. And it’s heartbreaking for Larry because he is so absolutely devoted to her.”
Larry had overcome his own health battles about a decade ago when he fought off liver cancer, but now he is devoting himself to the care of his wife.
Maj’s brother has confirmed the Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
Says a friend: “Larry refuses to give up on her. He’s still so in love with Maj.”
How very sad! We wish them both the best and hope to hear better news about them both in the near future.
