It seems the producers of the remake of Footloose are looking to keep the cast close. Like, in the same family kind of close.
It was earlier reported that Julianne Hough is up for the leading lady role in the dance remake. Now, it seems her brother, Derek Hough, is getting in on the action. Derek confirms that he “hasn’t auditioned yet”, but is in talks with people close to the project.
Derek is no stranger to the production; He originated the lead role of Ren in the 2006 West End production of Footloose the Musical.
Um, let’s hope he isn’t vying for that role in the film. We don’t need to see any siblings going at it.
