Charo‘s life has basically been one long dance competition, so the flamenco guitarist knows when to call bullshit.
After almost getting eliminated on this week’s Dancing With The Stars, the fiery performer is threatening to pack up her guitar and leave the ballroom floor for good!

According to E! News, the 66-year-old is “seriously upset” over her treatment on the ABC reality competition, and even claims the judges are scoring her unfairly!
A source explained:

“Charo was super upset this week about her scoring and she feels like she’s being treated and scored very unfairly. She is seriously upset.”

Charo received #StruggleBus-worthy scores in the first two weeks of the competition, earning a 21 and a 25 out of 40 from the judges.
But after the musician nearly faced elimination at the end of week two — in which Chris Kattan ultimately got kicked off — the iconic star complained to producers. The source added:

“She was telling producers that she doesn’t like how they’re underscoring her and she feels like she’s been treated so badly so she was threatening to quit.”

Producers were reportedly able to cool her down, but Charo’s threat of walking off apparently still stands “unless they started scoring her performances more fairly.”

The insider says suspicions of unfairness are running rampant within the cast — from Heather Morris‘ professional dance background to Len Goodman‘s particularly harsh critiques during Monday night’s taping.
Charo didn’t hold back her frustrations over the competition when E! caught up with her and partner Keo Motsepe after she was the last dancer revealed to be safe. She said:

“I was very upset that they kicked out Chris. I was about to make a deal. I go, and he stays. But I don’t think the rules allow that. He tried very hard and it’s so beautiful. Also, I was very upset that they gave [better scores] to Mr. T.”

Of course, Charo’s reps are singing a different, more grateful, tune, telling the network:

“Charo loves ABC and DWTS and she appreciates the opportunity afforded to her to be a part of the show.”

Hopefully, the show isn’t favoring any contestants — but c’mon, girl, this is primetime TV! Just smile and dance for us.
Do YOU think Charo’s scores were too harsh, or are her claims a bit of a stretch?
