Yeesh! As if getting a divorce isn’t difficult enough!
We’ve already reported that Daniel Baldwin and his wife Joanne, are getting a divorce over her alleged drug and alcohol abuse, and according to court documents, it wasn’t even just that! Apparently, she had made multiple threats to kill the actor – and in front of their two children!
In his declaration, Daniel says:
“There are so many instances of violence and death threats, they are too numerous to list. Sadly all of them seem to occur in front of our children.”
“My wife has claimed over ten times in the last two months that she will stab me, slash me or slit my throat in my sleep. I am truly fearful for my life also because she drinks so much and tends to blackout on alcohol.”
“My wife received her second DUI in June 2010. She broke her probation hundreds of times by consuming alcohol. When she drinks, she is violent and dangerous. The police have been called several times on Joanne. Nothing seems to stop her destructive behavior.”
“Joanne came out of our bedroom and claimed she had just watched a documentary on women who killed their husbands. She exclaimed, ‘Now I know how to do it, I understand why they did it. You have been warned. Move out of this house or I am going to kill you.’ This was said in front of our two children. My older daughter, Avis, asked me later ‘Is mommy going to kill us?'”
Unbelievable.
Clearly, this woman is deeply, deeply troubled, and we sincerely hope that this will help her seek out the treatment that she obviously needs, so she can once again be a part of her childrens’ lives.
So tragic.
