Daniel Day-Lewis Taking Acting Break To Become A Farmer??

Daniel Day-Lewis just won his third Oscar for portraying President Lincoln in Lincoln!
Congrats!!
Now that he has yet another Oscar under his belt, he’s ready to step away from acting for a few years.
Five to be exact!
What’s he going to do with all his newfound free time??
He’s going to live the farm life! Seriously!
Daniel said:

“My life as it is away from movie set is a life where I follow my curiosity just as avidly as when I am working. It is with a very positive sense that I keep away from the work for a while. It has always seemed natural to me that that in turn should help me in the work that I do.”

He DEF deserves to be able to just relax and live his life with his family.
It all sounds so peaceful. He continued:

“In a rural parish you become utterly unnoticeable. Or that├óΓé¼Γäós the impression I have. I couldn├óΓé¼Γäót work or get ready for a piece of work from a city base, from city life. I need deep, deep quiet and a landscape too that I can be absorbed into. So much of the work is in the process of aimless rumination in which things may or may not take seed.”

So he can be alone, spending time with his loved ones and pass the time by learning how to live as a farmer.
Sounds like a great way to spend his mini-retirment.
Enjoy it, Daniel, you TOTES deserve it!!
