It worked! Kind of.
As you may recall, Danny Glover asked Hollywood’s A-List community to not wear Hugo Boss to the Academy Awards as a way of protesting the company’s closing of their Cleveland, Ohio based plant.
And they listened!
Hugo Boss themselves said “…due to the recent boycott spearheaded by actor Danny Glover, our wardrobing efforts were significantly diminished for this year’s Academy Awards.”
Despite the small victory, the plant’s 300 employees will still be losing their jobs come April.
