Dascha Polanco isn’t sweating her assault charge.
In a recent interview, The Orange Is The New Black star opened up about allegations she physically attacked a 17-year-old girl last July. Obviously, the news came as a shock to fans of OITNB.

Speaking on the allegations, Polanco explained:
“People that know me and know my quality, my professionalism, who I am…they’re not worried. And neither am I.”
Wow, the actress sure does sound confident!
Dascha also went on to allude that the controversy stems from her newfound fame. The beauty did just costar with Jennifer Lawrence in Joy, after all!
If charged with the crime, D.P. could face a year in prison which is ironic considering her role on OITNB. The 33-year-old’s lawyer is confident, however, that the charges will be dropped.
