Dave Matthews Band Will Not Cancel North Carolina Shows -- Find Out The Charitable Reason!

The show must go on.
While most of Hollywood has pulled out of performing in North Carolina due to the state’s controversial anti-transgender bathroom laws, one iconic group has a different idea.
Dave Matthews Band announced on Monday that they will be keeping a concert at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte on May 27 as scheduled, but will be donating a portion of the proceeds to local charities.

The Virginia-based band issued a statement letting fans know of their intent to play, but did not want to come across as uncharitable, saying:

“In 1999, Dave Matthews Band established the Bama Works Fund at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation and has subsequently contributed a portion of each concert ticket sold to the fund. To date, the fund has raised more than $40 million and made over 1,300 grants, primarily to charitable programs in the Charlottesville, VA area. It has also responded to a variety of national and international needs.”

We’re not sure how a charity in Virginia helps queer individuals in North Carolina… but it’s the thought that counts.
Do U think DMB is doing the right thing??
