Looks like the sweetest castaway from Gilligan’s Island is going to be rescued after all!
Dawn Wells, best known for her iconic role as girl-next-door Mary Ann on the classic sitcom, was one of many who lost her life savings in the 2008 financial crisis.
But unlike the banks, the government didn’t bail her out, so now, sadly, she’s asking fans to help.
Or rather, a friend named Dugg Kirkpatrick is. He set up a GoFundMe asking for $194,000 for Dawn’s taxes and hospital costs — according to the post she required “life-threatening surgery” a few years ago.

In just 10 days, fans have kicked in over $135K, and it looks like they’re going to make their goal!
Kirkpatrick tells TMZ so much money has already been donated, Wells can erase her debt enough to move into an assisted living facility this weekend! Yay!
