Days Of Our Lives Alum Robert Kelker-Kelly Dead At 62 -- Here's What We Know

Robert Kelker-Kelly, best known for playing Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives, has died at 62.

The actor died back on Saturday in Missouri, according to the medical examiner and first reported by TMZ on Monday morning, though his cause of death has not yet been determined.

According to the St. Peters Police Department in that Missouri city, officers were called to Kelker-Kelly’s home around 8:16 p.m. on Saturday night after receiving a report of an unconscious man who was not breathing. CPR was already underway when police and EMS were dispatched.

Despite attempts by officers and paramedics to save his life, Kelker-Kelly could not be revived. Authorities told TMZ there was nothing suspicious about the scene and that the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event.

Kelker-Kelly began his acting career in 1987 on Another World, where he played Sam Fowler.

But it was his time in Salem that made him a familiar face to soap fans. He joined Days of Our Lives in 1992, taking over the iconic role of Bo Brady from Peter Reckell. During his run, he starred opposite Kristian Alfonso’s Hope Brady and Lisa Rinna’s Billie Reed before Reckell ultimately returned to the Brady role in 1995.

As for Kelker-Kelly, he later appeared on General Hospital as Stavros Cassadine and also worked as a professional pilot for a while, per TMZ.

Also… Kelker-Kelly made headlines again earlier this year when Rinna discussed their contentious working relationship in her memoir. She accused the actor of being verbally abusive and manipulative and alleged that his departure from the soap led NBC to provide security for her and Alfonso.

Kelker-Kelly never publicly responded to those allegations, FYI.

Regardless, his death is a notable loss for the soap world.

Rest In Peace…
