Deadliest Catch Divorce Turned MESSY! Jake & Jenna Anderson Duking It Out In Court Over Every Little Detail!

This divorce might end up being the Deadliest Catch yet!

ICYMI, Captain Jake Anderson and his wife Jenna decided to go their separate ways, confirming their split in the Season 22 premiere of the show, which aired in May. It shocked fans terribly to hear they’d been broken up for about eight months already! The couple, who had been married since 2012 and shared three children, seemed to be the blueprint for a beautiful, happy marriage. But at some point, things turned sour. VERY sour.

According to new legal filings obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, this isn’t going to be a cut-and-dry situation. Jake and Jenna are reportedly battling in court over every detail of their split, including money, their home, and their child custody.

In the docs, Jake reportedly said “spousal support is not needed” in this split, suggesting they each pay their own way in daycare, summer school/care, long distance transportation, education, college support, and other child related expenses. They share three kids, Aiden, 10, Cadence, 8, and Luka, 5.

This did NOT bode well with Jenna. Per the filings, she hit back in October 2025, a month after her ex’s divorce filing, giving a timeline of their whole relationship. She said, even though they were married in 2012, they had a “serious, marriage-like relationship (committed intimate relationship) in September 2009.” She claimed they were even living together at the time, and even disputed their date of separation. Jake had it listed as August 1, 2025, and she claims it actually happened on July 15.

She also disputed Jake’s claim that spousal support isn’t needed, writing that “spousal support is needed by me”:

“[He] has the ability to pay and should pay support in an amount decided by the court.”

Jenna also completely disagreed with Jake’s parenting plan, saying “instead the court should grant the parenting plan I propose.” She said it’s “not necessary” for the two of them to share the long-distance transportation costs, too. And while she agreed college costs “should be reserved,” she SLAMMED her ex’s “too vague” breakdown of the expenses.

She did agree, though, that costs of educational needs and extracurricular activities should be split — and she said she has plans to submit this idea in a child support filing at a later date.

This isn’t all, though. The couple reportedly sold their home in Washington for $1 million back in November 2025. At the time, they both got $25,000 and agreed to dispute how the rest of those funds would be divided out in court.

This messy case is ongoing, but Jenna did say she DOES want to return to her maiden name after all this is over.

They’ve definitely got a long way to go… Reactions, Perezcious readers?
