It was a episode of dangerous revelations on True Tori last night, as Dean McDermott shared that he thought about killing himself after the cheating bombshell with mistress Emily Goodhand came out on Christmas day of last year.
In the explosive episode, Dean told the couple’s therapist that he thought about jumping out of her office window during a nervous breakdown before cameras were present. But instead, he went into a treatment facility (which we saw in pap pics) to deal with his alcoholism and addiction issues.
He admitted to the scary mental moment:
“We’re sitting here in the room where I had my breakdown. I’ve been looking at that crack in the window. I remember looking at that crack and while we were waiting for the EMTs, I was thinking, I’ve got a window of opportunity here to kick that out ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ ’cause it’s already broken ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and just dive out [of] it. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót do it but I mention it to show how far I’d gone down the rabbit hole ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and that the only way out was for me to leave this earth.”
After his gutsy confession, the TV host added:
“The days leading up to my breakdown, I wanted to disappear. I just thought, this is it. You can├óΓé¼Γäót get out of this. I just thought Tori deserves me to die. And I sit here today looking at [the crack in the window] and I know I will not take my life.”
Following his suicide share, Dean did realize that he has a lot to live for—and rehab taught him to deal with his cloudy thoughts:
“My life means a lot to me now where it didn├óΓé¼Γäót for so many years. I├óΓé¼Γäóm getting the help I need and I├óΓé¼Γäóm surrounded by love and support. That├óΓé¼Γäós what├óΓé¼Γäós going to keep me alive├óΓé¼┬ªI deserve to live.”
Regardless of what he’s done to the family, can you imagine how his kids would feel if he ended his own life??
We’re so glad this brood’s tale didn’t end in a heartbreaking death—because that would’ve been too tragic!
Still hoping these two work out their marital issues, but at this point, who knows?!
