So sad.
No one would have thought 50-some odd years ago that Debbie Reynolds would be at the bedside of an ailing Elizabeth Taylor in her final days, but today, it seems that was exactly the case. In light of her passing, Debbie has expressed her sadness in losing someone she was finally able to call friend and recalled for sources their final conversation. Of her final conversation with Liz, she said:
“I said, ‘Getting old is really sh*t.’ And she said, ‘It certainly is. It certainly is, Debbie. This is really tough.’ I said, ‘Well, you just hang in there now, Elizabeth.’ And she said, ‘I’m really trying.’ God bless her, she’s on to a better place. I’m happy that she’s out of her pain because she was in a lot of pain.”
Poor dear. We feel exactly the same way.
Time heals all wounds and we’re glad these ladies made amends before it was too late.
