After receiving backlash from fans as they believed she was behind Demi Lovato‘s apparent overdose, Dani Vitale is speaking out.
The Tell Me You Love Me tour backup dancer decided to clear the air on Sunday night, nearly a week after the songstress was reportedly found unconscious in her home and had to be treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment used for narcotic overdoses.

As Demi continues to recover in the hospital, her friend of nearly 10 years took to Instagram with a lengthy message about the “negativity.” Dani penned:
And as you can see, she turned off the comments on this very important post about the “incident,” in which she revealed she was not with Lovato at the time. Although, video has surfaced of the two celebrating Dani’s birthday earlier in the night.
Additionally, her family revealed the dancer is “far from a druggie” and not to blame for the reported overdose, according to The Blast.
