This is AH-mazing news!!!
Word on the street is that the Democratic party is joining together to ENDORSE same-sex marriage in its official platform at the upcoming convention.
Even better is that officials unanimously agreed on the new stance which “not only backs marriage equality, but also rejects DOMA and has positive language with regard to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.”
Although LGBT activists have been pushing toward this for DECADES, the wheels really started turning once Vice President Joe Biden dropped this nugget of support:
“I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.”
The rest was history because Barack Obama came out in full support of same-sex marriage soon after and now he has led his entire political party to do the same!
Marriage equality for all is no longer just a dream, but a reality that is looming just above the horizon and we can’t wait for it to finally get here!
